Khondabi has written she believes that Joey Scribner Howard is her high school crush and is one of the mechanical engineer within the electric utility sector. Khondabi said she and Joey were introduced during their time at Greenwood Christian School and were acquaintances for several years prior to when they began to date as senior at high school. Howard was transferred to Irmo following his graduation from Dutch Fork High School, however Khondabi was his best acquaintance. Khondabi was a graduate of Emerald High School, graduating in 2007. She also attended her home at the University of South Carolina where she graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism. She also studied in entertainment and sports.
